Boxing

Image
Boxing is a sport that is traced back all the way to ancient civilizations. Modern day boxing involves gloves and hand wraps to protect both boxers in the ring or boxer in training. The sport has evolved a bunch since the past, but all for the better. There have been many greats that’s have made names for themselves in the sport with their skill, toughness, strength, will, and humanity, also those crazy enough to remember. The sport is for those who want to be known for their strength, toughness, and skill.                                                             Link          When it comes to big names like Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Canelo Alvarez and Manny Pacquiao, they are the best known for their personal boxing styles. Food Safety

Image
Food safety is an extremely critical and important practice. It keeps your immune system strong and body safe. I have been sick many times but only a few were from food poisoning thank goodness. I got sick after eating Panda Express, Taco Bell, and Burger King. It felt like my stomach was wanting to kill itself each time. Overall, fast food will always have its risks when it comes to “freshness” or “healthiness.”                                         Link     I’ve worked at In-N-Out before. I worked there for a little over 2 years throughout my high school career. The company took extreme measures to ensure freshness and maintain its quality. Every burger that I ever had was awesome, the fries awesome, and yes I know the whole secret menu. The company took pride in their product for every consumer. Though it was “fas...

Baitcasters or Spinning Reels are the way to go?

Image
Do you like to fish? Me personally, I love to go fishing. It is one of my many hobbies and definitely one of my favorite things to do. I’ve gone fishing with family and friends in both freshwater and saltwater.  Each time I went out I had an absolute blast, even if sometimes I didn’t catch anything. As I got more into the sport, I learned a lot of cool tricks and important knowledge when it comes to frequently catching fish and not just praying for a bite.                                         Link          The first fishing setup that I used was a spinning reel. It is able to open from the bill and you can control your casts with the spool, a way to learn to fish very easily. It is also the renown setup for beginner anglers. The first fishing I ever caught on this type of setup was a little ...

Ever watched Fresh?

Image
I recently had the pleasure of watching the documentary called “Fresh.” The purpose of the film was to inform the people of the United States what actually happens to the food they eat everyday. The tone was very sensitive and formal to all viewers. Some of the information given was the fact that farmers use growth hormones, pesticides, and compost containing dead animals for their plants and even their animals.  This means that diseases and sickness can develop in the food before we eat it. One aspect of the way Americans farm is that our systems way is not sustainable for the long run.                                                            Link      One part of the documentary that stood out to me was when a farmer named George Naylor from Jefferson, Iowa. He talks abo...

Wanna Go Go-Karting?

Image
I have had the pleasure to go go-karting with my girlfriend many times at many different places. Each time it was a better and more fun experience. I remember each of the tracks that we raced on. The places that we went were called Octane Raceway, K1 Speed, and Andretti Indoor Karting. These were all indoor tracks with electric go-karts.       When we went to Octane raceway there was a bunch of cool racing memorabilia on the walls. They even had an old retired model of a race car in house. First getting to the track I was excited because this was my first time go-karting. The track was clock-wise in direction with all right hand turns that race. The karts were pretty quick and we could wait for our second race. The second was counter-clockwise and it was all left turns that race. The karts went up to 45mph! Link      I’m not sure I would say that this is my favorite place to go. But it was fun and I would recommend first timers to t...
